The temp-email.site API allows developers, QA engineers, and automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Jest) to generate disposable addresses, listen for incoming activation links, and validate email contents programmatically.
/api/v1/domains
Fetches the list of active disposable domain names currently in rotation.
curl -X GET "https://temp-email.site/api/v1/domains" \

"@secmail.pro",
"@burnerbox.net"
]
/api/v1/mailbox/{login}/{domain}
Retrieves all recent emails received by the specified address within the last 60 minutes.
// JavaScript Example using fetch:
const response = await fetch("https://temp-email.site/api/v1/mailbox/testuser/temp-email.site");
const messages = await response.json();
console.log(`Received ${messages.length} messages.`);
/api/v1/message/{id}
Fetches the full message body, HTML content, sender headers, and attachments for an individual message ID.
Rate Limits & Best Practices
- Standard Rate Limit: Up to 60 requests per minute per IP address.
- Polling Recommendation: Inbox polling interval should be configured between 3 to 5 seconds to ensure low latency without triggering rate limiting.
- Auto Cleanup: Inboxes automatically clean up after 1 hour of inactivity; no explicit teardown calls are required in your test suites.
